The Wisconsin Area Music Industry released its nominees for its milestone 30th Anniversary Awards Show. Artists from around the state will be honored at the Awards ceremony on Monday, April 12, at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, the first time in WAMI history the event will be held outside Milwaukee.
Tickets for the general public are on sale now for $30 from Ticketmaster and through the Fox Cities PAC box office at 866-459-2035 or boxofficecenter.com. The nominees are chosen by WAMI members throughout the state in 35 award categories. The list of awards categories and nominees for Wisconsin’s best musicians are:

The public can also submit nominations for “Artist/Band of the Year” in the People’s Choice Awards. A winner is chosen from each of the four regions within the state to ensure musicians from all over Wisconsin are recognized. The four regions include:
“People’s Choice” nominations can be submitted via the WAMI website, wamimusic.com. Submissions will be accepted until March 22. Since 1980, WAMI’s mission has been to promote music in Wisconsin and provide continuing education for music industry professionals through monthly meetings and semi-annual music seminars. The group also produces an annual Youth Music Showcase and provides scholarships to students and emerging artists. |
